We have found a wonderful new decaf with a clean, natural taste. When tasting it many will be surprised to discover it is decaffeinated since the flavor is so natural. But, the decaf processing is done by an ultra modern plant in Veracruz, Mexico run by Descamex. They use an all natural Mountain Water Decaffeination process, leaving the coffee 99% caffeine free.
The coffee comes from the La Selva coop, located in the Lacandon jungle of Chiapas. La Selva was established in 1978 and has over 2000 farmer-members.
As a terrific bonus this coffee is completely organic and is also Fair Trade certified! Certified USDA organic by Certimex.
Cup Characteristics: Clean and bright, with medium body and mild, citrus acidity. It is sweet and very well balanced. One of the best decafs we have cupped!!
