Kona Extra Fancy Koa Plantation
New (2007/2008) crop coffee just arrived. This is 100% pure, authentic Kona coffee, not a blend (buyers beware). Koa won
the prestigious annual Kona Coffee Competition a few years ago and continues
to produce some of the best coffee from the region. The plantation is located
at 2700 feet, high for the area. The soil is a mix of volcanic and nutrient
filled earth. All coffee is completely processed in Koa Plantation's wetmill
and drymill processing plants.
Cup characteristics: Mild, floral with medium mellow bodied with delicate acidity.
This year's supply appears to have more structure and mouthfeel than previous
years.
