Downtown Blend

A blend of Costa Rica full city and Sumatra French Roast, this sophisticated coffee combines Costa Rica's elegance and balance with Sumatra's earthy body. This is a bright blend with caramel background notes. Ideally suited as an after dinner brew.

Downtown Blend has been with us since our beginning in 1985 when we opened the first Willoughby’s Coffee & Tea store on Chapel Street in downtown New Haven. Our in store coffee roasting was the first of its kind within several states and help build our coffee roasting reputation. That shop has since moved and the coffee has only gotten better. This is a blend with mostly a full city roast, but with a  dash of dark coffee earthiness. This results in a sweet drinkable coffee with a suggestion of  dark flavor. When sipping on this coffee give yourself a second to reminisce  on the good old days.
